The Aviator Hotel | Farnborough Hampshire UK | Designed By BFLS



The Aviator is a sleek 169-bedroom hotel inspired by the heritage and history of Farnborough airfield. Its elegant curves, formed from bands of bright aluminium, draw visitors towards the main entrance and into a spectacular internal atrium, the sinuous forms of the exterior design echoed in the atrium's dramatic spiral stairway.

The result has a distinctive presence, a legible form that is simple and elegant to use, reinforcing the layout of accommodation within. Core functions such as the reception, lounge, restaurant, patisserie, bar and lifts are arranged around the circular atrium, this central space allowing guests to easily orientate themselves. Guestrooms are arranged along both symmetrical wings of the building and enjoy spectacular views out over the surrounding area.

The hotel occupies the site of the former RAF Officers Mess at Farnborough Airfield, on the Farnborough Road. The project has been developed with Dakota Hotels as operators....more
