Design Hotel Paris | Hotel Le Bellechasse St Germain

Entirely outfitted by the famous fashion designer Christian Lacroix, each of our 34 air conditioned and soundproofed rooms have a full bathroom with a shower or bathtub.

Statement from Christian Lacroix

"In my opinion a hotel must reflect the character of the place in which it stands, and shoul suggest "a travel within the travel", while giving its own interpretation of the city, the district, and the street on to which it opens.

With regards to the rue de Bellechasse, one must thing in terms of the 19th century aesthetics of the Museum of Orsay, with the old furniture of famous antique dealers, of the neo-classicism of the surrounding architecture but also of the art galleries, contemporary furniture and a unconventional way of life which were, since always, the axies of Faubourg St Germain – an area whose charm, strength and elegance come from this balance between tradition and audacity, past and present, upper middle class and dolce vita, symbolising for me the spirit of Paris.

On reflexion, we intend to proportion all these ingredients in fonction of all the places to be reinvented.

The reception should mirror this conception immediately by showing the blending between "the old and the new" and with a just a hint of the "future".

We are thinking of using colour so it flow with harmony as well as distinguishing floor levels from each other – generally monochrome as well as cameo will be used sometimes coordinated with printed-wall paper.

The rooms looking onto the street will be more contemporary, mildly blurring the way from the apartment to the bathrooms with scattered mirrors.

The rooms looking onto the courtyard should be more classic, country style like (with pastel colour).

On the ground floor, the conservatory opening on to the patio with spaces of activities blending with the pastels, and dark lacquer from the cosy lounges. while the rooms on the upper floor should be then most "futuristic", under the upside-down hull of a ship formed by the roofs (large-scale sketch).

As to the walk way, we imagine it both soft ( with rounded partitions) and graphic( with geometrical pattern), the whole area scattered with red color"
