A Grade II listed building, incorporating two distinct architectural styles, let alone an extraordinary interior which has been used and altered over the years… Making the modernisations required, adding the extra space needed for a luxury hotel but without losing any part of the original splendour was quite a design challenge. Luckily it was one that Rare architects leapt at and the result is superb: a building which fuses its Edwardian, Art-deco and contemporary elements into one breath-taking whole.
