Arts & design hotel in Paris | Hotel Des Academies
The rooms are a mix of classic design and contemporary materials with hues of taupe and plum or even theatrical red in an ambiance of comfort and discreet luxury. All this is further enhanced by works of art and other elegant flourishes. Every bathroom has its own window and is filled with light. Some boast their own terrace with replicas of the cast iron chairs you find in the famous Jardin du Luxembourg, closed of our Design Hotel. And from all the rooms overlooking the courtyard, there are stunning views of Jérôme Mesnager’s amazing white body.
The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art right next to the hotel holds permanent and temporary exhibitions. The Musée du Luxembourg, the Musée Zadkine and the Musée Eugène Delacroix - museums big and small - are absolute musts. Across the road from our design hotel, every day, amateur painters paint nude models in the same studio following in the footsteps of Modigliani, Gauguin or more recently Serge Gainsbourg....more
