Vegas Design Hotel | MGM MIRAGE CityCenter Las Vegas, USA By Daniel Libeskind
Statement from the architect:
Studio Daniel Libeskind is served as a design consultant to Adamson Associates to design the retail and public space complex on the main Las Vegas strip as part of the MGM MIRAGE's CityCenter construction project. CityCenter, a vertical city in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo resorts, combines 2,700 private residences, two 400-room non-gaming boutique hotels, a dramatic 60-story, 4,000-room resort casino, and approximately 500,000 sq.ft. of retail and entertainment facilities into a single urban core. Crystals employs the most environmentally conscious practices and materials. In November 2009 it was announced that Crystals achieved LEED® Gold Core & Shell certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), making it the world’s largest retail district to receive this level of recognition. The project was completed in late 2009 and includes collaborations between MGM MIRAGE and eight of the world’s foremost architects.
Housed within crystalline, metal-clad shapes, high end retail shops will line Las Vegas Blvd and the Avenue. A dramatic entryway into the retail area from the Strip draws pedestrians into the public arcade, covered by an expressive, spiraling roof structure. In addition to providing access to retail shops, the public spaces allow for a variety of urban experiences: a water feature at the entry, cafes and a grand staircase leading to Casino Square at the end of the arcade, animating the whole space. In addition to the main entry off Las Vegas Blvd, there are two entries off the Avenue as well as access to the facility on the second level through pedestrian bridges over Harmon Avenue to the Lifestyle Hotel and over the Avenue from The Mandarin Oriental Hotel. In addition to the casino, hotels and residential buildings, the public retail complex is intended to add a vibrant program to the mixed-use development on Block C.

Design Hotel In UAE | The Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Designed By Asymptote Architecture
LOCATION: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
SIZE: 85,000 sq. m
DATE: 2007 – 2009
The Yas hotel, a 500-room, 85,000-square-meter structure made up of two twelve story hotel towers linked together by a monocoque steel and glass bridge A Grid Shell structure that both cross above and over the Yas Marina Circuit F1 race track. It is the first new hotel in the world to be built over an F1 race circuit. The hotel’s exterior surface is designed as an environmentally responsive skin that by day reflects the sky and surroundings and by night is lit by a full color changing LED lighting system that incorporate video feeds that are transmitted over the entire surface of the building.
Asymptote created and conceived of the building as an architectural landmark embodying key influences and local and global inspirations ranging from the aesthetics and forms associated with speed and spectacle to the artistry and geometries that form the basis of ancient Islamic art and craft traditions. Of architectural and engineering significance is the main feature of the hotelʼs design; a 217-meter expanse of sweeping, curvilinear glass and steel covering that is made up of 5,800 pivoting diamond-shaped glass panels. This Grid-Shell component is a key aspect of the overall architectural design and significance of the project by producing an atmospheric-like veil visible from miles away.
The two hotel towers, one being set within the race circuit, and another placed in the Marina itself, are physically linked by a sculpted steel monocoque bridge construction that passes above the Formula 1 track. The bridge along with the Grid-Shell visually connect and fuse the entire Yas Hotel complex. The Yas Hotel was designed by Asymptote to become a significant and important landmark for Abu Dhabi. The pixelated lighting design by Asymptote in collaboration with Arup Lighting creates a dynamic appearance at night, with colours flowing smoothly across the double curved surface. says in a press release…
“The hotel embodies various key influences and inspirations ranging from the aesthetics and forms associated with speed, movement and spectacle to the artistry and geometries forming the basis of ancient Islamic art and craft traditions, a perfect union and harmonious interplay between elegance and spectacle. The search here was inspired by what one could call the ‘art’ and poetics of motor racing, specifically Formula 1, coupled with the making of a place that celebrates Abu Dhabi as a cultural and technological tour de force.”-Asymptote Architecture

Design Hotel Paris | Hotel Le Bellechasse St Germain
Entirely outfitted by the famous fashion designer Christian Lacroix, each of our 34 air conditioned and soundproofed rooms have a full bathroom with a shower or bathtub.
Statement from Christian Lacroix
"In my opinion a hotel must reflect the character of the place in which it stands, and shoul suggest "a travel within the travel", while giving its own interpretation of the city, the district, and the street on to which it opens.
With regards to the rue de Bellechasse, one must thing in terms of the 19th century aesthetics of the Museum of Orsay, with the old furniture of famous antique dealers, of the neo-classicism of the surrounding architecture but also of the art galleries, contemporary furniture and a unconventional way of life which were, since always, the axies of Faubourg St Germain – an area whose charm, strength and elegance come from this balance between tradition and audacity, past and present, upper middle class and dolce vita, symbolising for me the spirit of Paris.
On reflexion, we intend to proportion all these ingredients in fonction of all the places to be reinvented.
The reception should mirror this conception immediately by showing the blending between "the old and the new" and with a just a hint of the "future".
We are thinking of using colour so it flow with harmony as well as distinguishing floor levels from each other – generally monochrome as well as cameo will be used sometimes coordinated with printed-wall paper.
The rooms looking onto the street will be more contemporary, mildly blurring the way from the apartment to the bathrooms with scattered mirrors.
The rooms looking onto the courtyard should be more classic, country style like (with pastel colour).
On the ground floor, the conservatory opening on to the patio with spaces of activities blending with the pastels, and dark lacquer from the cosy lounges. while the rooms on the upper floor should be then most "futuristic", under the upside-down hull of a ship formed by the roofs (large-scale sketch).
As to the walk way, we imagine it both soft ( with rounded partitions) and graphic( with geometrical pattern), the whole area scattered with red color"

Design Hotel In Amsterdam | Hotel Arena
The four star hotel Arena features 116 renovated, contemporary guest rooms that are built in this characteristic and monumental Orphanage, Saint Elisabeth of 1890. History is illustrated by unusual heights in many rooms and authentic elements that remain visible. Basically, no room is the same.
In the brand new rooms the focus is on functionality to cater guests for one night but also those who will stay for a longer period of time and to accommodate both corporate and leisure guests.
The interiors are dressed up in shades of white that – together with lighting – create an intimate atmosphere. The contrast of historical elements and Dutch design is emphasised through these white rooms and black bathrooms. The black glass walls of the bathroom cubicle and the shiny tiles are a remarkable match.
These rooms are divided over 3 room types. The facilities in the rooms are equal and the difference between the room types is decided by the space available. Rooms differ in square meters in the living and bed area as well as in the bathroom.
The following room types are available:
• Deluxe - 20 – 25 m2
• Studio - 25 – 31 m2
